This week's lesson:
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
VOICE:
- Today we went from the 1:00 mark on our "double scale run (1/2 tempo)" vocal exercise (last week) to the 2:00 mark on the same exercise. DOUBLING the range and placement.
- We vocalized on: lip buzzes, humming, tongue all the way out, head-voice tongue out on "i", e, oh-ah, and "hey that's my barbie".
- We added "hey that's my barbie" -- our mickey mouse placement voice.
- We added movement to our vocal exercises: head rolling and shaking no, chest opening arms and dropping arms, leaning forward.
- We focused on our "bright" placement: pushing our tongue to the back of our teeth, showing our top row of teeth while making sure we don't fold our bottom lip over our teeth, while focusing on our different "mickey mouse" placement in the front of our mouth.
PERFORMANCE:
- Today we worked on posture and not fidgeting, calming nerves and creating a base for our performing.
- While vocalizing we got used to singing with movement so that it comes naturally, the movement also helped with the relaxation of the vocal chords to help with vocal range and hitting the high and low notes.
Great job Olivia! See you next week!Labels: Olivia
