This week:
- We vocalized on: humming, mm-ee, me-me, yah-yah, pinnichio
- While vocalizing we visualized the sound coming up our heads and over the top like a waterfall with each sound. She did awesome!! She's really catching on great to our warm ups and it's going to help her range and power so much!
- We worked on: "no dots!" - learning to connect our words while still keeping our "talking placement"
-- talking our songs out without shouting them; making sure we keep our voice safe by relaxing while we sing.
-- our forward placement.
-- singing like we talk.
-- smiling!!!!
**Smiling while singing is not only something that helps our students look happy and perform better, it's a great/easy way to keep them in tune and will keep them in a bright place with their voice.
Things to remember:
- Smile!!
- No dots!! Connect our words!
- "No singing!" (When Abby thinks of singing the songs instead of talking them she reverts back to her old placement -- what you'll hear as her timid/shy voice -- by telling her to talk them instead of sing them we're tricking her voice into creating the muscle memory she needs to be able to sing them correctly!)
