Tatum is seriously doing so well!! She's such a hard worker!!
This week:
- Vocalizing: We worked on our range and placement, our mix voice, the transition between our chest voice and our mix voice.
- We vocalized on: humming, humming-lip buzz, lip buzz, me-me, yah-yah, mah-mah, hi my name is tatum.
- We worked on: This week our goal was to relax a little bit more into our talking placement; keeping our voice forward while becoming more comfortable with the sound.
Singing is hard! But we tend to make it a lot harder than it needs to be. On top of making our voices sound better, when we talk-sing and get our voice into the correct placement - eventually it makes all things we do in singing (style, scats, high notes, low notes) a lot easier as well.
Things to remember:
- Smile! But smile HAPPY instead of just showing our teeth.
- Keep it forward by adding a little extra smile.
- Take out the curves! Drive it forward in straight line (see if it stays the way you talk it or if it adds a yogi bear- like curve)
- Relax relax relax!
