This week:
- This week we worked on range and relaxing!!
- We discovered our "singing monsters" and talked about ways to turn them off: (mine is big opera - Tatum's has a similar feel because we both over think things that lead to singing a way that we hadn't intended)
- We vocalized on: humming, lip buzz, me-me, ya-ya, oh-ah
We worked on:
- putting energy in our low verses
- We moved into our "character" talking voice (making sure the tone/ (our talking voice) matches the genre of the song)
- The different "forward" places in our voices
In our song this week we worked on a lot of character and performance technique. Tatum has all the character she needs in her voice - we're just pulling it out!
We decided that if she was performing tomorrow - we would keep 90% of her changes and go straight to the stage. Only tweaking a few things with the choreography of the song and high notes.
