We vocalized on: Humming, me-me, yah-yah, oh-ah, everybody's favorite, Mirror scat exercise
We added scats this week!! These exercises will make sure that Erin's voice stays in shape in a completely different way than if we only did her range extension exercises! It thins out the chords to make sure the singer can gain better control, making quick stops, staying in the pocket, and multiple note scats possible!! She did so well!
We worked on:
Our weighted forward placement: adding depth to our talking placement
Dynamics: making sure that vibrato isn't the only kind of style that we add when we think of spicing up a song. We worked on controlling low notes and adding emotion with simplicity in certain phrases.
