Olivia: Rain on my parade (week 2)

This week:

This week we continued our work on our song for our recital.

We worked on basic stage/performance technique, choreography, introductions, and continued to work on our hover-board placement.

We vocalized on: lip buzz, me-me, me-eee, yah-yah, oh-ah, everybody's favorite, mirror scat.

We worked on:

Basic stage/performance technique: we started adding specific movements into Olivia's song, getting her ready for the stage. We worked on making our movement natural, body shifting, and how to work a small-medium stage, or a big stage with a small crowd.

Choreography/introductions: We worked on how Olivia will introduce her song both at the recital and at musical auditions. This is the one most people forget to practice - and then they feel awkward when it comes! Practice makes perfect!!

Our hover-board placement: We added another trick to our bag of placements! Our hover-board placement takes our pop placement and makes it a little bit wider, approaching our vowels with a little bit wider (and more open) sound for musical theater.
