Olivia Bagley: January Lessons

January was so awesome for Olivia!

We continued to work on some things:
- Overall strengthening of her voice
- keeping her voice forward and bright
- maintaining and improving performance

And we added a few things!
- Making the transition to a bigger sound by widening her vowels and lengthening her jaw!

Bigger sound:
We have really focused hard on building up Olivia's voice. It has been building so much every lesson - it's been wonderful! So - so that it doesn't plateau, we've added an even bigger sound to help her build as her voice gets stronger and stronger. To do this we have started "mapping out" our songs.
To map out our songs we write out how they would sound if we kept our vowels wide - or added "ah" to the sound of every word to open it up a little bit more, and if we dropped our jaw as we sang more than normal.

Here is part of our mapped out version:

ThAAHH sAHHHn will cAHHHme AHHOUt toHmAHHrroHHHw
BeHHHt yAHHHur bAHHHttoHHm dAHHHllar thaHHt tomAHHHHrroHHw
ThAHHHre'll beH sAHHHn
JAHHst thinkin' aHHbAHHOUt tomAHHHrrow

It has really helped!! Olivia is making so much progress! She sounds wonderful!!!

Week 3: This week, to get an even bigger sound, I had Olivia try to be so big with her voice that it would sound silly. The result was awesome!!!

Awesome job Olivia!! See you soon!!
