Tag: Summer (week 3)

This week we started on our performance prep!

Tag ended his lesson last time by telling me that he had a little bit of stage fright. So, we started our lesson by setting up a stage and having him practice performing on it!

We practiced with a microphone and without one - (using a spatula today).
We introduced the 3 rules of performing : the need to be able to see you, hear you, and understand you! Which means we need big actions, loud forward voices that project, and we need to speak slowly and not mumble when introducing ourselves!

We continued to work on our list!
- Keep it forward
- talk it out
- smile!
- Triangle of high notes!
- Keep it big and loud!
- Rock star Olaf!

At the end of our lesson we brought down a few people so that he could practice in front of an audience. For our next few lessons we will continue to build this audience, work on specific actions, continue our work on introductions, and get him extremely comfortable singing his song in front of people!

He did so great!
