This week we took Ella's original "forward" placement and added to it, creating a musical theater box. (we started moving here last lesson).
Because her placement has been so so awesome - we worked on building the character of the song and letting her placement fall into place instead of working the other way around.
We worked on committing to a character - making it so that when an audience member watches her they don't think "wow, she has a pretty voice" - but rather, they get caught up in the character of it and the polished feeling that comes with matching the character SOUND, ACTION, and words.
We also worked on adding energy, making sure that there aren't dead spots through out the song.
