Olivia Bagley: Lips are moving (week 3)

This week:

We warmed up on:
Mah mah maahhh, be-be, bi-bi, bo-bo, boo-boo, yah-yah, boh-boh, everybody's favorite, scat hiccup!!

We worked on: keeping it punchy, shortening words, getting in and staying in our pop box, and performing!

Performing:
Today we worked a lot on Olivia's confidence. Before her song, i would have her say "i'm awesome". At first she would say it -- giggle, and get a little uncomfortable. We worked on the process of "becoming a character" and all the things that go into performing in front of people. We talked about how she could be however she wanted when she was being Olivia Bagley - but once she hit the stage... she was no longer just Olivia Bagley - she was performing Olivia or her alter ego Sasha Bagley. When she became performing Olivia she needs to leave the timidness, shyness, and quietness of non-performing Olivia at the door and adopt a new set of skills to use on stage.

By the end she was 10000% times better and more confident in what she was doing!!!

She did so so awesome!!! We're using today as a foundation as we move forward into more advanced stuff to make sure that Olivia gains confidence every single lesson - in more than just her voice.

It was great!!

Here are our videos:

Before/End of our lesson:
