Tatum Edwards: Good Morning Baltimore (week 2)

This week:

TATUM BROKE THE WORLD THIS WEEK!!
Wow. I was so incredibly impressed with her!!!

We worked on: taking our baseline placement to the next level - adding a musical theater box/branch, and adding character to her voice.

Adding branches:
Tatum has done so well at our baseline placement - We took her up a level this week. )We started moving this direction last lesson) As much work as we put into our baseline placements - and the extremes we had to go to in order to do it correctly -- our musical theater branch of this placement requires just as much, taking certain aspects of it to an extreme.

We warmed it up, learning what the placement felt like and how to get there from our original forward placement. Then, we worked on getting to the placement by using it to add more character to the way we sing our song.

We widen our vowels and add a bright "chipmunk" feel to parts of the belt notes and separate our words (without making them extremely punchy) - to allow our voice to reset to this place between words.

Wow. She seriously did SO great!!!

Here are our videos from this week!

Before/End of our lesson:

Great job Tatum!! See you next week!!
