Walker Jones: Don't rain on my parade (lesson 3)

This week:

We vocalized on:
mah-mah, Nay-yay, Be-be, Yah-yah, Everybody's favorite
We worked on:
1. Adding more energy to our song
2. Continued our musical theater belt placement

Adding more energy:
Today we worked on adding energy to our song without having to add movement yet - or tire our voice out more. We worked on gradually moving the song to a brighter/ more forward place as the song goes along - giving it a more "moving forward" vibe (moving forward as in traveling - not by our definition).
We also punched up our consonants the farther along in the song we got.

Continued musical theater belt:
Musical theater belt is tricky to get to - and trickier to maintain. We worked a lot today on making sure Walker was doing it in a healthy way and that he could feel the difference between our regular forward placement or regular belt placement and our musical theater belt placement.

He did great!

Here are our videos from today!

Before/End of our lesson:

Great job Walker!! See you soon!
