This week:
We worked on:
Walker's song for shades!
1. How to plan out ideas and brain storm without worrying about how it will fit in the song.
2. How to take those ideas and make them fit the cadence of the song
3. How to do alternate melodies
4. Filling in words to fit the music
Here are our lyrics:
Coloring Outside the Lines
By: Walker Jones + McCall Jones
Think of all of the times
When you didn’t just walk on by
You stopped and said you’d listen for a while
When you saw them in pain
And helped them realize they’re not to blame
For the hate and hurtful whispers and the ones who walk away
Look around at all the broken hearts
People who are trying to find their part
In a world where people search for who they are and want to be
Open up and see between the lies
So many people look but still are blind
Take a second glance and you will find
Chorus
I’m not afraid to speak my mind out loud or take a stand
I won’t back down from
The man that I am
I’ll help the world to understand what it’s been missing out
I’ll be there to define
And I’ll help others be kind
So we accept those coloring outside the lines
Think of people who need
Someone willing to be
Something unexpected to complete
So let’s all lend a hand
And show the world that we can be
Look around at all the broken hearts
People who are trying to find their part
In a world where people search for who they are and want to be
Open up and see between the lies
So many people look but still are blind
Take a second glance and you will find
(Chorus)
Here is our song!
