Abby Horsley: 22 (week 2)

This week:

We vocalized on:
Mah-mah, Be-be, Yah-yah

This week was a tough one for Abby. She had a lot of wiggles. We talked at the end of her lesson about what she could do better next week to make her a little bit less restless and she had great ideas. I'm going to have her move physically more in our vocalization exercises, and space our breaks out a little bit differently so that they are a little bit shorter and more frequent.

We worked on:
1. Pop Box
2. Performing with a microphone.

Performing with a microphone
Today we brought an audience down at the end of Abby's lesson for her to perform with a microphone! We worked on making sure her mic was in front of her mouth so that we could hear her - and made sure that when we added performing that she didn't forget her vocal technique of keeping it forward, singing through her teeth, singing through her pop box (shortening her words and making them small), and separating her words.

Here are our videos from today!
