Simple pop lyrics and melodies
We continued our work today on moving Ella's lyrical brain from poems to a more commercial/simple song lyric. We did this by continuing our "dumb high school song" - as we called it.
She is really getting the hang of it!! Which leads me to my next point...
Homework!
Ella's homework for songwriting is to write as much as she can of a song, using all the methods we have worked on including song structure, using words that phonetically sing better, melody variations, ect. The song can be as unfinished or finished as she wants it to be.
From there, she is going to bring what she has to songwriting lessons and we will edit from there. This will help both of us see how well she is understanding our songwriting process and will help her form the questions that will benefit her personally the most.
