Walker Jones: Stone Cold (week 3)

This week:

We vocalized on:
mah-mah, be-be, nay-yay, yah-yah

We worked on:
1. Style: Softening word pronunciation, bite belt, texture in verses.

Style: Softening word pronunciation, bite belt, texture in verses.
Today we worked on some style intricacies to further build Walker's bag of tricks that he can use to customize a song! Today we added a variation of our baseline / pop placement - we widened our vowels in the middle of our words, and changed the pronunciation of our words to sound like a New York accent(a version of our "big italian woman" sound, except this one is not for bigness or power, it's for style and texture - adding coolness to Walker's voice). We also softened the pronunciation of some of Walker's words, making the "er"s and "ee" sounds a softer vowel sound like "ah". Softening the pronunciation paired with the style that we're adding will give Walker's voice a more effortless and interesting sound.
Walker has a beautiful awesome voice!! Having a beautiful voice is wonderful - but it is no longer the only thing we are working on. We want Walker to be able to customize his voice - manipulating it depending on genre and emotion of the song - and control every aspect of it. As we continue to work on style, texture, and different parts of our placements, Walker will build all of these different parts of his voice as well.

Here are our videos from today!
