Killing Babies
Today was SO COOL!! Me and Ella wrote a 2 part first verse that we both loved - moved on... wrote melody and lyrics for a pre-chorus that we liked, and moved on to our chorus melody.
Then, when we paused, I asked Ella how she felt about the song and what she was thinking. She stated that she loved the first part that we did and that the chorus melody was going to be great - but that the pre-chorus we had written jut wasn't up to par. It was good.. but it wasn't great - so we should rewrite it.
UH. HELLO. Great songwriter moment for Ella!! We killed that baby of a song that we liked and wrote something different!!
She's getting so great!!
Alternate Melodies
We also worked on a few alternate melodies during the verses and prechorus - Ella would change them as we continued to write our song.
