Quick words/ vocal agility
Today we worked on Tag's ability to sing really fast! We have had sections in other songs in the past - where the speed of our singing sped up, but this song is definitely the fastest and has the largest sections where the speed doesn't slow down at all. With this new song, "One Jump Ahead", it is super important for us to be able to stay in the pocket (or sing the right rhythms at the right time - keeping up with the music), as the song isn't super range-y (doesn't go extremely high or low). We worked on this today by making sure that we separated all of our words and phrases - giving each one of them the focus that it needs in order for the words to be clear. We also worked on adding character while maintaining the speed of our song - going to a completely talked place and finding character things there rather than adding more melodic character choices (like we did in "I just can't wait to be king" and "summer") - moving to an almost chant-like place.

Tag did so great!!!
Here are our videos from today!
