Tatum Edwards: I know it's today/ for good (week 2)

This week:

We vocalized on:

We worked on:
1. Maintaining our placement
2. Transferring good habits

Maintaining our placement/Transferring good habits
Today we worked on making sure that, as we move into more and more difficult vocal technique - that we are building lasting habits and we are able to maintain the awesome placement that Tatum is so comfortable with now. In order to do this, we worked on our song "I know it's today" - making sure it's exactly where it needs to be (forward, talked, with words separated, bright) and in a place that Tatum can recognize and repeat. Then, we transferred this comfortable place to other songs with even harder melodies - proving to Tatum's brain that she can sing any song with the same principles! We moved to a super hard ballad from Wicked "For good". We would start with our first musical theater song "I know it's today" - singing the first few lines to make sure Tatum was in the correct placement (and mindset), and then went straight into "For good" making sure that Tatum approached them exactly the same.

Tatum is CRUSHING!!! She has been working so hard for so long and it is paying off so much!!!!! She sounds wonderful and is moving between really hard things quite seamlessly! I'm so proud of her!!

Here are our videos from today!
