Today we focused on making sure Ella's original "don't love me" is ready to go! We first worked on performance choreography - mapping out what Ella is going to do with her hands, feet, and body during her song!
For hands - we are working to get Ella's gestures bigger so that her over all performance fills the whole stage. We also worked on making sure that Ella's arm movement was strong and didn't bounce too much!
For feet - we want to make sure that Ella addresses all sides of our audience - which means adding at least 2 of our "quarter back shuffles" into our song.
For Body - we are working to add rhythmic movement (swaying back and forth, dropping the mic on the beat).
Ella did awesome!
Style: Don't love me
We also worked on the vocal style of her song. We worked on making sure her vowels were wide and her placement was forward so that her style sounded more commercial, cool, and was easier for her to do!
Intro
We also worked on Ella's intro - or what she is going to say before her first song in our concert! We wrote it out, and then mapped it out like a monologue - putting in beats, body movement and changes.
