Jay Davis: Finishing Touches

This week:

We vocalized on:
Mah-mah, Nay-yay, mm-ah, everybody's favorite!

We worked on:
1. Performance prep!

Performance prep!
Today was all about performance prep! We started our lesson with an extra long warm up - making sure that our vocal cords were loose and relaxed, so that we felt confident about our vocals (warming up more than once a week does great things for our vocal cords as well, helping extend our range quicker. This will help with our high notes even more!).
We then went over our transitions - making sure that we are ready to go from walking on stage to walking off!

We then went through our song and checked the editing, karaoke track and lyrics - making adjustments at places that were confusing, or needed to be longer or shorter.

We then ran our song all the way through 6 times each - going through our checklists and performance technique.

Today we worked on making sure that our performance was at least 2 steps bigger than we want it in our performance - to make sure that when we add a secondary focus (the audience), that our performance remains big!!

We then wrote our student spotlight for our program and took pictures for our program!!

Here is our picture from today:
