Today we worked on mapping out how Tatum was going to play the character in her monologue for her audition. We filled out our first character development point and then workshopped our ideas. Here was our first character development choice and how we planned on showing it physically and emotionally:
1. Fanny was late to an audition. The director said she couldn't audition anymore and is trying to leave. She needs to get his attention - at the same time she wants to show her versatility in front of him and everyone else still there.
Physically: We're going to show this physically by trying to stop him every time he leaves. We also are going to start our monologue like we're trying to get his attention and trying to stop him from leaving the room so we shout the first thing that comes to mind.
Emotionally: With voice inflection and the speed of our words at points between the beats. With our beats and the action we put in them - making them extra long to show even more acting.
