Adding "lift" sooner! As we are adding the finishing touches on Estelle's first song for her upcoming auditions - we started working today on extending Estelle's big open sound to all of her notes by lifting her soft pallet sooner in her phrases. We, once again, took it slow at first, making sure that Estelle could find the biggest amount of backspace (or soft pallet lift), biggest pronunciation, and best mouth placement to facilitate the big wide open sound we were going for. We then sped it up and tried to maintain the openness of the sound!
We also went to the end of Estelle's song - worked out the pronunciation and applied our big open placement to the second verse! Estelle did so great!
