Today we worked on making sure Hannah was staying in the pocket (or keeping up with the timing of her song), and that she had time to add character into her song. We did this by focusing on separating Hannah's words and talking them out as much as possible. By doing this, we are giving Hannah maximum control of each individual note and word - and having the advantages of slowing down her song without having to actually slow down the speed.
High mix/head voice
We also started working on Hannah's higher registers to make sure she can hit all of the notes in her song comfortably. We focused on her high mix and head voice during her vocalization exercises to make sure she was nice and warmed up and then focused on adding our "Pinnochio" placement to all her high notes to give her extra power and volume without adding unhealthy pressure to her vocal cords.
