Maintaining our forward placement Today we worked on solidifying everything we learned in our last lesson and worked on moving Kate's voice into our forward placement a little bit more comfortably! We worked through the first 2/3 of our "forward placement checklist" (the full checklist usually takes 3-4 weeks). We worked on smiling, singing through our teeth, keeping it strong, throwing each word at the wall, singing like we talk, and separating our words to stay in the pocket (or maintain the rhythm) and to help with pitch accuracy. We also moved on to Kate's high notes today!! We worked on approaching them from our forward placement - talking them first and then lengthening each note to take it to a more melodic place. WOW. Kate did SOOOO well today!!!! I was so proud of her!!!
