Musical Theater Character Today we worked on our musical theater character placement!! We worked on approaching our song by telling the story through our voice inflections and actions - making the song about even more than the style, but about the diction (or how we said each word) as well! We worked on adding big actions, building intensity, keeping our vowels wide, and pushing past the point of discomfort on our style (making it so wide if feels weird) and our character choices (going so big that it feels ridiculous). Only here (past the point of discomfort) will our brain let go of "sounding good" and allow us to grow vocally and in our performance technique! Olivia did awesome!!
