Today we put the finishing touches on "burn". We went over our musical theater character placement - getting our words nice and punchy to add more character development and to help us tell the story of the song more. We worked on the pop style of the song - making sure our vowels were nice and wide, that all of our notes and words traveled forward to keep our scats quick and our pitch accurate. Olivia did awesome! Vocals for "have yourself" Today we also started working on our Christmas project. We started vocally producing "have yourself a merry little Christmas". We worked on building our song - starting from a softer and breathier place, building with each verse, keeping our vowels wide. We worked on scats and adding texture to the song as well. We will start recording songs for Christmas in a few weeks!
