Nick :: week 2

First week:

Last week:

This week:

This week :
- This week we vocalized on: lip buzz, humming, ae-ah, yayaya, tongue all the way out.
- We added "we'd like to welcome you" - a munchkin place in our voice used to brighten it and get our voices ready for musical theater belt.
- We added movement to our vocalizing to relax our voices and get us used to singing and moving at the same time: rolling our head, shaking our hands, walking around.
- This week we worked on brightening our placement even more: smiling on every word.
- We worked on singing like we talk - and pushed our voice into an even brighter place with our new "munchkin" sound.
- We worked on coming over the top of the notes and making sure we stayed in that place all the way down - even on our low notes we need to stay on top of them. To demonstrate this we used our water-fall arms.
- We continued to work on the pitch and tone of our words. Smiling and trying to put our voices in the "bite" place not only brightens the sound, but it keeps us on pitch!

Things to remember:
- Before you sing your songs - talk them out! Use our munchkin place to memorize the bright place in your voice. From there, talk the song with the bright smile-sound. Then string your words together!
- Smile on EVERY WORD! It looks better, sounds better, and will help with control and staying on top of the notes!
- Make sure you smile on the low notes, it'll help you hit them!
- When vocalizing, roll your head to the front and shake your hands to keep you relaxed!

Awesome work this week Nick! I'm so impressed with your improvement!! See you next week!
