Abby: Families can be... (week 3)

This week:

Abby did so well this week! Something really clicked for her!!
She shifted from needing to shout-talk or separate each word in order to keep her placement consistent to maintaining her forward placement while connecting her words!

Vocalizing: Abby has an awesome ear! Vocalizing is strengthening her voice a lot and helping her develop a wider range. Her pitch is awesome and only getting better.

- We vocalized on: humming, lip buzz, humming --lip buzz, me-me, yah-yah, "hi my name is abby"
- We worked on: Our forward placement, connecting our dots (not separating our words when we sing), volume control, singing like we talk.

Things to remember:
- Smile!!! It'll brighten up your sound!!
- Connect our words, but don't try and "sing" -- just talk it.

*** When we try and manipulate our voice with how we THINK singing should sound it puts our voice in incorrect placements and forces us to work twice as hard to get it to sound the way we want.
Instead we focus on the placement first-- sounding great is eventually a result of correct placement.

Before --> End of today's lesson.

Next week:
- Next week is new song time! Abby can bring any song she wants -- as long as she knows it well enough to sing it while reading the words!

Awesome job Abby!! You did SO well today! I'm so impressed!! Keep up the great work cutie!
See you next week!!
