Next level Style Today we started moving Lily to the next level with placement and style difficulty! Because she sounds so awesome with our forward placement and pop style, today we started pushing her to our "weird limit" - or past the point of discomfort in a big way so that we can learn and grow even more vocally! The way that we did this was by focusing on ONLY the placement - mapping out how it should feel and sound, making sure to take our style to a wider place, adding more texture in the bottom notes, and opening up our top notes more so that we have a bigger sound on top and cooler sound on bottom. We worked a lot on Lily being able to replicate the feeling and sound several times before hearing it back in her after video so that she would first memorize the feeling. Then, we watched her after video and had her find places she could be more open, wider, more forward, bigger, and add more texture. I then had her do it again (now that her brain trusted the placement). She did awesome!!
